1) EN: either (BE pronunciation!) PL: rzeżucha ;P
2) Scandinavian/Nordic lads, definitely!
3) A swallow: it's so tiny, delicate, beautiful and strong enough to fly thousands of miles around the world - a great traveller and caring mother that builds cosy nests for its chicks...
4) Not really... "Can't buy me loooooove, money can't buy me love". That's the sad truth.

1) Szczęśliwy (first word learnt, yet very exotic and difficult); .... no favourite English but I don't like 'love' when I say it with my accent.

2) Indian/Arabian for sheer beauty, Russian for sexiness.

3) Dolphin - long-lived with few predators (hopefully) and intelligent.

4) Only partly - money with fame is perhaps a mutant high-score that risks turning against the individual. However, money generally buys freedom to chose, to experience and experiment, and to get influence.

5) For me, now, no. PLN 100,000 isn't such an incredible amount that it is worth losing a well-paid job, friends and possibly even sanity (can you imagine how uncomfortable you'd feel?)
Try adding an extra zero.

(1) What is your favourite word in English and Polish?

English: I've always liked the word 'somnambulist'. I also like 'monomania' and 'anglosphere'.

Polish: 'gżegżólka' (my computer does not allow me Polish 'l' for some reason).

(2) Which nationality (ies) do you find sexiest?

Greek. The Greeks are my favourite nationality by far. (I lived there for a couple of years).

Polish women are very highly rated by foreigners, including myself. Could anyone tell me why no-one says the same about Polish men?

(3) If you were reincarnated as an animal which would you choose?

A crocodile. I'd say crocodiles get their own way in most things. You could be as unpleasant as you wanted and no-one would ever complain. No-one nags a crocodile. You could spend all day biting things, and sleeping off large meals. Everyone and everything would keep out of your way. I don't suppose crocodiles ever have to wait in queues, or anything like that.

If you look at crocodiles, they always have a smile on their faces. They simply do as they please, without any sense of guilt.

Yep.

I've thought about this one a lot.

It'd be difficult to earn that kind of money working conventionally.

If I was single I could just spend all day on the computer and not go out much.

Polish: misiu (spoken with a soft female voice...;) and kurwa (just for the sheer joy of rolling that 'r' and the intensity you can put into it)

2. Cypriot / Scandinavian and... English! ;)) And I'm not buttering you up, guys ;))

3. A mole (i.e. the Little Mole called Krtek from the Czech cartoon ;))

4. Yeah - that's an interesting way to look at it. I often compare life to different games, my favourite being Rubik's Cube: you can't solve it by setting its walls colour by colour; you need a strategy that seems chaotic to an untrained person. Then a few quick moves later everything falls neatly into place. And life can be like this too ;)

5. Let's see: a 100K would buy me new teeth (that I'd inevitably have lost ;) but would it persuade my friends that would have fled from me with their noses pinched to come back? That's the question...Sylwia Łubkowska edytował(a) ten post dnia 09.02.08 o godzinie 23:49
