Temat: Five for Fri (13.03.2009)

Thank you for the introduction, Steve. Let's all give Steve a hand (applause) for administering the Five for Friday questions.

Bonus question: We say something like "I don't care what you call me. Just CALL me." I'm accepting all answers as being correct. Joy is a girl's name here, however, but a compliment to me too. That's something like "Dzoj," I think. I do answer to "oink" (Adam's pig reference), but when my mom and dad called Dzodz, Dzołdz, etc. I answered.

1. Fiction we would wish to be true:
I don't know much fictional literature compared to you all, but "Tobermory" by Saki came to mind as a comical example.

2. A condition or quality:
Higher contemplations.

3. Wearing at 2100:
I was rockin' an underwear ensemble of amazing dark blue, hand mass-produced socks, a gray t-shirt with "Ranger" ostentatiously emblazened across my chest from the old days; a bold yet subtle pair of boxers. All this...tragically concealed from public view by a wonderful dark gray, suede pullover, relaxed fitting jeans, and a pair of delicious Nike Air running shoes. The pullover says "expensive casual comfort," while the jeans say "I will work for food." Fabulous.

4. Wrong about people.
Actually I have good confidence in people. I think it depends on whom we ask. It's probably not a fair question anyway since we could all write a book about our chagrins. Plus, we have the "What Really Gets Me" thread, live and streaming. Something B. Franklin said comes to mind today, though. To paraphrase: Everyone should meditate for a half hour per day unless you're very busy. In that that case, an HOUR hehe

5. I can be heroically stupid, for sure. Recently, though, I was driving our mom somewhere far. When she was singing along to the radio I bit my tongue and didn't say anything. :) Nothing special about me, in general.

What does it mean: emblazened?
Could you explain in other way?

I was being facetious because I spelled it wrong. :)

Aga - more like "ozdobione" in this context :)

However, emblezened somehow seems a lot more righteous :)))

[Annoying teacher's approach of mine. Three posts on one word! ;)]
