2. Retirement or work, why?
I left work at a young age. I get paid by annuities. From now on. I went back for a one-year deal last year. Not working sucks. Believe me.

My dad is 74 this year and he keeps working. 'Tis better than sitting in a rocking chair methinks but he is from that good 'ol pre-war stock ;)
He is. :)

I personally need the structure. Free time and I don't get along. Oh well. Plans to make plans still. :)

1.nothing is too weird to me anymore, but remember once when
vacationing in the Canarian islands, very uuuup in the mountains spotted some cozy "restaurant"run by the locals(2 nice sisters aged 80+:), where the (printed)menu was never as issue:)went there, kind of hungry after a looong day;was served the weirdest food on earth:) couldn't give a name to it so wasn't brave enough to check it out...:)
2. simple question, but hard to explain:)retirement in due time, now work, coz when you have a job at least some of your dreams may come true:)there's so many great places to see...

1. What is the weirdest thing you've seen in Poland/ abroad ?

An English tourist mooning people in Krakow. Broad day, mind you.

2. Retirement or work, why?

There's an "or"?

3. Mary's father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3.Nini, 4. Nono. What is the name of the fifth?

Unless Mary is a guy, it's Mary.

4. What is the worst (offensive) word you've said to someone? Tell us a little about this situation.

I am well known for my foul mouth... but I try not to offend people with abusive expressions.

5. What's the funniest language misunderstanding you've made / heard / seen?

Not a language thing but a guy I know met Seal and Heidi Klum in India, had a nice conversation with them (especially Seal), and.. had no idea who they were :)

1. What is the weirdest thing you've seen in Poland/ abroad ?
Poland: A fishing equipment shop which also sells bras
2. Retirement or work, why?
Retirement cos work (according to my definition as something you do for money which you normally wouldn't do without payment) is a second-rate way to live
3. Mary's father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3.Nini, 4. Nono. What is the name of the fifth?
Moonriver
4. What is the worst (offensive) word you've said to someone? Tell us a little about this situation.
Last Thursday late at night I did mention to someone "wypierdalaj stąd". But I said it in a kind of camp and amusing way and we all ended up laughing.
5. What's the funniest language misunderstanding you've made / heard / seen?

According to our Chinese teacher, she's a fan of the Polish word "co?" because when used as a question with that rising intonation, it sounds just like the Chinese word for "fuck".

If what you had was indeed gofio con mojo I can assure you it is very edible. It actually is very tasty. As for Rockies' oysters or cojones del toro I'm not the right person to ask. I'm sure they are edible but I didn't have the privilege of enjoying them ;)Marcin B. edytował(a) ten post dnia 25.05.10 o godzinie 05:29

I don't know why I remember accidentally "mooning people" in school one day, 1st grade. I guess I was wearing way-too-big pants in the playground. My dad came there from work since the teacher called. She was hassling me. He fixed me up. He asked the class "anyone know why our butt cracks are vertical? Because if they were sideways, when we went down the slide, we would go bluhbluhbluhbluh. Show 'em Mrs. Axe." Then he left. She had scoliosis and quite involved too. Oops. :)
