It surprised me. I thought the aim was to get the other person drunk, not oneself...

Is it as simple as asking? Damn! I've been plotting and scheming all my life, and now you tell me....

I'm going to have to show this to one of my brothers and get his input. We call him "Silver Tongue" behind his back for his one liners about these things because he doesn't care who he's talking to...and we are being sarcastic.

"Can we have sex?" is not a simple question like: "Can I have something to drink?".
That's why many people takes alcohol to make it easier for themselves first.
Research didn't have interesting results for me (not because I'd get those percentages by just relying on my experiences in all those countries), but "safe sex for teenagers" is an important issue.

They're teenagers. I believe it's easier for adults to just ask. Or, well, maybe not. The plotting and scheming are sometimes a part of the fun, aren't they?

I believe it's easier for adults to just ask. Or, well, maybe not.
:) "maybe not". The response for such a request is the scary part. That's why people -if they are brave enough- direct less suggestive questions: "What about going to my place?".

My guess is, adults would have more trouble (compared to teenagers)asking for or suggesting sex. At least, my generation was kind of shy, when we were young. Now-teenagers are brave according to my observations.

But I'd agree to some extent, that it is a 'fun game' to play not being too direct.
It is like pre-foreplay. :))

Well, in bars all of the girls around me were drinking. If they had just asked me, I would have.... er. probably fallen over!

Those of us who haven't got the nerve to ask directly for sex, even with the contents of half a brewery poured down our throats, must fall back on the good old-fashioned chat up lines.

Here's how it usually works for me:
