The organization of Miss Belgium Homeless presented the women who will be part of the first Contest. The winner will be awarded one year of free lodging. Only in Belgium ... The contest is presented by the organizer as a constructive social project.

Is TV and advertising getting into a new low here?

Is this distasteful/disrespectful?

Is this tampering with human rights and/or trampling on individuals for a mere gain in publicity?

That's the goal of it ... that everyone is talking/writing about.

For advertisors it's bingo ... money, money ....

I cannot imagine it's a Belgian invention :) Not that they are stupid but I'm sure it's already invented in other countries (like US)
Nowadays...everything is OK to bring it on TV. It's all about money.

Who cares about emotions ? Nobody.

It's pretty grotesque.

A more useful show might have been "Homeless Entrepreneur of the Year" where homeless people are given the chance to attend some kind of business training and develop latent skills.
