... What most Americans failed to do after 9/11 is to ask the right questions. The only thing that people were saying was – “what are we going to do about this” when the most important question – “why did this happen”? Was left on the back burner.

It wasn't, and there was an answer:
"Because they are jealous of our freedom and democracy".
So they had to be freed from dictators
So that Arab terrorists would stop attacking US with that reason.
Then Hollywood would stop shooting movies with Arab terrorists, and Arabs finally appear as rich and educated US citizens in the movies and US citizens would live happily there after with their Arabic looking neighbors. ;P :)

Another thing that just keeps bothering me personally is Guantanamo Bay…

oh Ilter , it's a small strap of land. it's belonged to US since Kennedy's times. It used to be a military base and now it's also this prison. :(

oh Alicja, how is it possible that a piece of land on the enemie's territory belongs to the US? Imagine the US trying to build an army base or a political prison for high ranking terrorists... gee, I don't know ... let's just say for the sake of the argument - Russia? I mean anywhere in Russia even the god damned Tunguska village. What is the likelihood of that happening?

oh Alicja, I think we're all aware where the prison is. We don't question that. But the place is interesting (edit: interesting, because it is out of the borders of any country), isn't it?
