That's tricky, then. Setting the faulty one for receiving any 'remote desktop' attempts might be impossible.
If worse comes to worse I'll just use a desktop monitor for an external monitor.
That'd be your best bet.
Thank you very much, Ilter. you were thoughtful to help. I think I'll surrender and do this when I can - the monitor from my desktop.
But I say drop your lappy to a repair when you're in downtown. Replacing the screen in a laptop is not a dirty job. I've done it once myself.

I stupidly tried to send an email with 60mb of photos (all of turtles) and obviously the system cant cope. Outlook doesnt like turtles, I suppose. And each time I turn on Outlook it tries to send them again. Would anyone know how to stop this? (pressing delete on the icon doesnt work).

First find the folder titled "Outbox" on the left pane, and delete the e-mails with turtles in it. During this process, turtles won't be harmed. If they are harmed, I'm not responsible. Click `Send/Recv` button. You should see a screen with "hide" and "stop" buttons on the right. Click stop.

If not, or maybe additionally, go to File menu, and click "Work Offline". That will cut Outlook from internet temporarily.

Then go to Outbox and delete the sucker.

After deleting the e-mail, don't forget to untick "Work Offline" and revert back to the previous state.ilter K. edytował(a) ten post dnia 03.10.09 o godzinie 12:59

If you register a domain name, don't use nazwa.pl

1st, they can't communicate in English.
2nd, they refuse even trying to communicate in English.
3rd, they are incompetent... why is that?

I wanted to transfer 2 domains today to my GoDaddy account (another registrar), and they can't even handle a transfer request properly. GoDaddy is the biggest name in the World, and nazwa.pl (a NetArt service) was -simply put- confused.

They were rather fast on sending me the 'authinfo', which is required when you transfer your domain(s), but God, do they not know that such things are handled ELECTRONICALLY VIA INTERNET?

Imagine asking for a password to enter into 3rd party's interface. Your password is sent by the 2nd party on -friggin'- PAPER, while only thing is needed an electronic communication between the 2nd and 3rd party.

The guy on support-chat was constantly asking me why I want to transfer my domain. I was struggling for 1 hour in Polish. I was trying to understand why he was asking `why` while only thing I wanted was `this is how`.

When I said: "I want to manage my domains in the same place/registrar", -after 1 hour of struggling- he said: "Then you need to find a way to give this code to the new registrar".

I asked where and how to use this 'authinfo' in their interface, and the guy was asking me `WHY do you want to transfer`.

THAT'S NOT YOUR EFFIN' BUSINESS YOU IDIOT!

Sorry for my venting.

It was effin' unbelievable.

You may prefer home.pl for domain registrations and hosting instead.
It is possible to find competent guys (also who can communicate in English) when you direct your questions via e-mail. Even on technical issues.

PS. Another problem with registering a domain name with nazwa.pl is, they assign their own e-mail address as an Admin e-mail address. However, wherever you go in internet (other registrars), the Admin e-mail address is the client's preferred e-mail address.
After hours later a poor lady from nazwa.pl sent an e-mail stating something like:
"Er, this GoDaddy thingy asked something from us? Shall we assign your e-mail address, so that they will 'bug you' instead?".

Poles are great in coding etc., you can't even argue on that, in my humble opinion.
But nazwa.pl is not good in customer support, and just because of that, I can't know whether they are good in anything or not.
