To a degree, probably.

If it makes you happy i think Scandinavians are better looking than Polish folk. I will probably take battering again for my views but such is life.

I would agree with you up to a point.

But if you started telling me that, for example, Polish men were more handsome than Englishmen, I'd think you were a conceited twat, irrespective of whether I believed your assertion to be correct.

i hate this statement and DON'T agree.

we discuss things ALL the time. different views are like different tastes so sorry - NA-AH!

what we don't do (or shouldn't) is to ridicule other tastes - that's probably what's behind the proverb (I hope).

IN MY OPINION:
my sense of aesthetics tells me that I am more accustomed to Polish ugliness than British and that's why I say Britons are uglier.

And yes, I also think Scandinavian girls are just uber-beautiful (not all but when beautiful, they really are alluring..)

Anyone who believes that they can objectively state that one nationality is any more beautiful than another is being a bit silly, imho.

On the other hand, we all have our subjective likes and dislikes.

As Mirek wisely states, 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'.

I guess it's pretty hard to say, where the women or men are looking better. Even as an opinion.
But something which can be said is, that one can see how a country develops in clothing while becoming richer, as one can clearly see in Poland. Women and men are dressing better, albeit the fact that women mostly dress better than men ;)
