We're going to celebrate in Warsaw next Friday...

I'm glad most of the core members have stuck with us, and, for the umpteenth time, kudos to you, Warren, for creating the group. I wish we could go back to good old days of passionate discussions rather than endless "describe" and "fav" topics.

I'm still glad we had these passionate discussions even though they're long gone now. I think it takes a certain type of personality to instigate them, and you have it, Warren. For some time you dedicated your self to Anglo and I could see it mattered a lot to you. I wouldn't worry if it's not what it used to be - that's what usually happens when a powerful source withdraws and you had all the good reasons for doing so. And I'm actually glad you've managed to pull out in the right time - I know how addictive it can be! Because of Anglo I've met great people both online and IRL (I'm still waiting to meet you, btw), it forced me to rethink quite a lot of my beliefs and I'll always remember it as one of the best moments in my alternative life ;))

I didn't know it's been a year. I've felt like it's been at least 2 years :)
That means it'z goood!
Thank you Warren, I personally enjoyed some of its moments.
So what do you reckon folks?
We should celebrate.
I'll hopefully meet Tatiana, Violetta, Bernd and others who can join (Edit: this friday).

A year...

Quite a long time to get used to some people as we chat (nearly) every day.

A lot has changed, that`s true. The first thing is about the native speakers (of English) who are not so active any longer. Sometimes it`s even artificial to use English instead of Polish but then there are also people who don`t speak Polish but English, though it`s not their mother tongue.

Secondly, there are no personal wars. Ok, there are fewer personal wars.

I also remember our preparations for the first big meeting. Although some of us had met earlier, we were all excited about seeing our static (online) faces smile, move, live. We were a community. I think a handful of us have been left... And I truly appreciate those around me.

There are people who I like meeting. There are some whom I met only once. There are ones whom I`d like to meet so much. Sooner or later...:)

Now I`m looking forward to some social events: next weekend meeting, a couple of people coming back to Poland, April visitors.

The overall number of GL members has increased over these 12 months, so the chances of coming across half-dressed halfwits are automatically higher.

I too wish the natives would be as active as they used to be.
