I share your pessimism, Ilter. It'll surely be four Anglosphere members and fifteen perfect strangers. Nonetheless, I'll be cruising downtown anyway, so I intend to show up - just to check it out. I can always execute a tactical retreat.

I do understand and you know me & My Friends have organized very big festival on 16th August in Zlote Terasa in Open space...it will be biggest event for me & my friends,

my friend came specially for this event with his wife from India, and so we will be together on that day scheduling all the things and you know if rain starts that day :( we'll have to make the alternate to have the whole festival in zlote terase itself... :D so i thought to drop off there to meet all you people... :) say hi ..little talk and go off :D before someone really hit me with empty glass of beer ;) haha

Ilter...no hard feelings or soft ;) haha ofcourse i will be there without any Anglosphere members or perfect strangers :D

BUT

some things drew my attention..

what does it mean for you, Ilter, that the whole event turns out to be sth totally different than you expected?

Don't you thinkg that some ppl signed up for the meeting to do business with some of the group's members, etc.?

If you planned a meeting 4 ppl who actually WRITE in the threads why didn't you make it a condition to sign up for the meeting?

Since an introduction before attending the meeting is stressed to be sooo important, here it goes:

Hey,
My name is Chris,
I have been a member of this group, yet a dormant one, for quite a while now.
Seems like this friday might be a good day to turn things around?
Since I moved to Poland, I've been losing touch with english, as books, even in excess are not sufficient to keep my communication skills at a reasonable level.

So, since I got the invitation, I feel welcome.
If I'm wrong, let me remain so :)

And a question, where will the event take place? I have tried to find info about it, but somehow I keep missing it. (I assume it is there somewhere)

I'm not going to the Anglo meeting to do business (on a Friday night!?) but to meet people I enjoy interacting online with. Not to meet someone's cousins, uncles, or boyfriends. Call me weird.
