Britain is doing very well indeed, which is very positive if you think about the next Olympic Games to be held in London. It will certainly attract more young people to sport - they will understand that if you work hard and have the will to win you can do it. Congratulations!
We cannot be too happy , but still three gold medals are better than none. What surprises me are the opinions expressed by our sportsmen who, when asked why they failed to achieve anything significant, say that 'Well, you know, we knew there was no chance for us to win a medal, but we wanted to try so that maybe in the future....". So why did they go there in the first place if they had known they wouldn't win anything? I thought the Olympic Games are for the best and for those who are 100% determined to win.
Sport is 'dead' in Poland. How can they find new talents if there is no real sport in schools. No competitions between schools, gminas or województwas. New talents should be caught out as early as possible, young sportsmen should be handsomely awarded for their achievements (not necessarily with money), schools should pride on their achievements.Tusk is now opening new playgrounds in villages and small towns, but there are no properly educated people to take care of the young people who are to use these places. By and large, I think sport in our country has reached the bottom.
