I've always had a difficulty to name the colours :)
I simply can not decide sometimes, if a colour is green or blue. Women say: "it is "bla blabla, blabala", then continue: "I mean, it is more green than blue"

I remember this test from my driving course. Anyway, it's interesting when you close one of your eyes. Apparently my right eye sees the world in warmer hues :)

It's not that bad, well not on MY screen at least.
Lidia pointed out my wearing a light-pink piece of clothing in one of my pictures, so I'm not that odd, I guess. [Although, in my wardrobe you will find mostly black and white, or grey and brown.]
However, people paint their halls red and buy yellow cars, I would not be able to do that :)

Don't you think women 'know' colours better than men? I mean they have better ability to name colours. They can name it very precisely and to compare colour to ... many things :) And can talk about it long - what men can consider funny or irritating sometimes.
It's my observation. Do you agree, guys?

My friend, a Polish teacher, said to me during one of the breaks today that she associates numbers with colors - isn't that something?

I was complaining to her about my difficulty to memorise dates and people's names - I mix them up all the time!

Not true.

I know plenty of males who can talk for hours about car paints - mist blue, navy blue, moonlit blue, moonlit blue metallic, moonlit blue mica. Imola yellow, sunburst yellow, pale yellow, reflex yellow... noble white vs championship white. And any red is inferior to Rosso Corsa - although it looks bad on TV.

A woman simply looks at the car and calls it blue or yellow, even if some repainted elements do not match the original hue. Not that she cannot distinguish the colours - she's too much overwhelmed by emotions.Adam L. edytował(a) ten post dnia 06.04.09 o godzinie 13:19

OK. Good point. But do man can talk about colour of other things the way they do about car paints? :) What about colours of clothes, shoes?...
It would take long to convinced me that it is not true, like ypu said Adam :)

I love talking about clothes, ties and so on - sometimes girls take me out shopping as a companion. But I wouldn't be able to distinguish between myriad wine tastes, as many men do. Just ask Rafał Janta.
