Because you body temperature is 36ish deg C - that's 15ish deg higher than the air and 17 deg higher than water. Besides 19 deg C is low, anyways.

I've grown to like it.

'Cause water transmits (?) heat better than air. Or to say it differently, air beter isolates heat than water.

Water is conducting warmth much better than an air. Much higher loosing body's temperature in water is felt by us as much colder water than air. Can I get peach for good and thorough answer?

But the correct ansewer is that the water is conducing warmth better than air so ypu feel the warmth differently.

I feel for you. The water temp. here was 16 (!!!) today. Even my son, who normally ventures into the murky waters of the Baltic Sea, chose to remain seated on his towel.
