Naszym klientem jest firma będąca liderem na rynku produkcji opakowań. W chwili obecnej prowadzimy na jej zlecenie rekrutację na stanowisko Category Purchasing Manager. Poniżej zamieszczam opis stanowiska i wymagań.

JOB PURPOSE:

To identify, initiate and support purchasing activity across nominated spend categories, and generate commercial and other supply benefits for our client. Develop robust, agile and low cost supply chains.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develop strategies for sourcing materials and services within their categories of expenditure.
Identify and develop cost and price savings in a pro-active and structured approach. Explain and sell savings strategies to senior management. Deliver the savings identified.
Develop appropriate and strong working relationships with senior management at suppliers, so as to influence these organisations to provide preferential terms or service to our company at need.
Negotiate and implement safe and appropriate supply agreements
Negotiate cost, service, working capital, logistics or other commercial benefits.
Reduce costs/improve service in the supply chains serving the business.
Research and gather internal / market information on each area of expenditure to determine decision making.
Analyse detailed spend/price/technical parameters and agree purchasing actions.
Understand true business needs and shape purchase strategies accordingly.
Find innovative solutions to existing supply issues and develop alternative sources.
Convince Unit /Group management of the benefits associated with purchasing initiatives and demonstrate end results.
Produce the purchasing input to all business unit annual budgets and ensure these accurately reflect both purchase strategy and budgetary requirements. Accountable for ensuring the budgets are met and progress is reported.
Guide Units on the best purchasing processes to adopt for buying the materials / services.
Integrate input from Technical, Supply or other specialists in developing appropriate solutions, leaving behind a robust, agile, low cost supply process.




QUALIFICATONS:

Educational and professional:
1.Graduate calibre, preferably with a technical degree.
2.Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 6 years post qualification experience
Understands basic legal and contractual implications arising from a Buyer’s actions
Broad visualisation of cost reduction – other than price
Good level of people management skills
Appreciation of the ‘service’ component of purchasing
Exposure to purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
First class negotiating skills.
Interpersonal/influencing skills to gain acceptance of their strategies within our company
Organisational and priority management skills.
Computer proficient in terms of spreadsheets and other office applications.
Commercial awareness – key margin drivers in business.
Financial understanding
Presentation/communication skills
Numerical /Verbal reasoning skills at management norm (SHL).
