Many teams are using the Agile methodology to enhance the productivity of teams to deliver better software more quickly. However, some teams are challenged with when and how to use certain Agile practices on their projects. This is particularly true for Agile engineering practices when it comes to test-driven development, Continuous Integration, Software Configuration Management, Deployment and Issue Management.
In this webinar session, Paul Duvall (co-author of Continuous Integration: Improving Software Quality and Reducing Risk) will cover Agile Engineering Patterns using working examples to demonstrate each of the patterns. Duvall will cover patterns such as "Scorched Earth", "Sandboxing", "Test-First Deployment", "Build Threshold", "Binary Integrity" and "Documentation Automation". Each of the patterns will address: The Problem; How to Solve it; Detailed Description; Example(s); How the engineering pattern applies to the tenets of Agile.
Learning Objectives:
■ Aren't the Agile practices enough for me to know? Why should I care?
■ What problem(s) am I solving in using Agile Engineering Patterns?
■ How can using Agile Engineering Patterns to provide higher quality software?
■ How will Agile Engineering Patterns provide quicker delivery to users?
■ What is the relationship between development teams, QA and Operations on Agile projects?
Intended Audience:
■ Software developers
■ Software project managers
■ Build Engineers
■ Quality Assurance
■ Systems Engineers
■ Software Configuration Management professionals
