Temat: CASE STUDY: Leadership and management

Witaj!
One of the new ideas for 2011 will be case studies - snapshots of business ideas and processes based on an existing example. Today the topic is "Leadership and Management"

To talk and learn about those two areas we have to first define what they mean.

Leadership -"is the art or process of influencing people to perform assigned tasks willingly, efficiently and effectively.

Management -making sure that a given company/organisation is run effectively, having a clear strategy and goals.

How to be an effective leader and manager at the same time?
It is definitely "no easy feat".

But lets try to map out some key responsibilities:



1. Provide purpose - if a company does not have one, why should your employees bother to come to work and listen to you?
2. Encourage growth- it is not about what's in it for the shareholders and the management board, foster employee creativity and encourage their personal growth
3. Build a Leadership brand- build an identity on your strengths that adds value to those you are trying to serve.
