POWER AND FESTIVITIES. In Roman times, Gigondas was called “Jocunditas” which meant simply “rejoicing” in Latin. A prescient name for this charming and picturesque village in the Vaucluse whose fame is inextricably linked with the history of wine. Comprising a series of hills and valleys, the vineyards of Gigondas has a generous sunshine on the foothills of Dentelles de Montmirail. This small appellation specific (1 300 ha), known and recognized worldwide, produces powerful wines bodied and remarkably balanced.

Grapes : 75% Grenache, 18% Syrah, 7% Mourvèdre.
Harvest : manual harvest in late September.

Colour : Colour sustained of red berries.

Nose : Lovely concentrated stone fruits, black currant and leather.

Palate : The tannins sublimate a generous and harmonious mouth. Rich wine, silky and suave, the fun.
