Temat: Perrite Develops Bespoke Glass-Filled Compound

Perrite, the engineering thermoplastics arm of Vita Compounding, has extended its extensive range of glass-coupled polypropylenes with an ultra-high impact glass-filled compound, Percom MCG20T.

Percom MCG20T replaces a highly impact modified, glass-filled and non-conditioning polyamide 6 . The key performance requirements of the old grade were used as a basis in the successful design and formulation of the polypropylene-based compound.

Perrite, synonomous with developing bespoke customer solutions, was approached to develop a low cost material that retained all the current physical requirements and functionality, for a structural, load bearing part for a major vacuum cleaner manufacturer. Perrite was able to quickly and effectively respond to the request and drew upon its extensive polymer range to formulate a specific grade to satisfy the application.
