For our client, a leading global manufacturer of materials and systems for protective, presentation and fresh food packaging in the industrial, food and consumer markets, we are currently looking for a Project Analyst to work in the European Financial Service Centre in the UKRESPONSIBILITIES:
To effectively manage projects which improve the operating effectiveness of the European Finance Service Centre, and enable the accounting group to effectively meet all of their responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively within Finance and also with other functions, and across multiple locations where this is required, utilizing their skills and experience to continually drive change and improvement.
Significant accountabilities include:
• Process Review
o Ensuring that process maps for key financial processes in the service centre are effectively maintained
o Performing reviews of end to end business processes to identify the root cause of financial control issues, and then working with the appropriate functions to take corrective actions
• Internal Projects
o Manage the accounting group’s internal continuous improvement program, ensuring that ideas are captured and improvements executed on a timely basis, using the Lean Six Sigma methodology
o Participate in significant finance projects arising from changes in systems or legislation, including projects which are led by other parts of the finance organisation
o Work closely with the Planning and Analysis team to ensure that the technology available to the Service Centre is being utilized to its maximum potential within the existing processes
• External Projects
o Represent Finance on other business projects as necessary, providing appropriate Finance support to the project and ensuring that the requirements of all parts of Finance are met
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Essential:
Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
Fluent English
Knowledge of SAP
Working in a project based role, or a role with a significant proportion of ad-hoc work
Must have worked in a complex environment
Excellent interpersonal skills
Highly customer focused
Well organised
Ability to work under pressure
Analytical skills
Highly numerate
Desirable:
Degree qualified
Knowledge of other European language
Knowledge of BW and Visio would be an advantage
Lean Six Sigma techniques
Process review experience
