For our client, leading global manufacturer of materials and systems for protective, presentation and fresh food packaging in the industrial, food and consumer markets, we are currently looking for a Planning and Analysis Analyst to work in the European Financial Service CenterRESPONSIBILITIES: To develop processes and systems which produce information in an efficient and effective manner to meet the needs of the Service Centre’s customers.
Significant accountabilities include:
• Performance Measurement
o production of the quarterly balanced scorecard for the EFSC
o support the service centre quality manager in the development of new metrics for monitoring service centre performance
o development and delivery of reporting for individual support functions which do not already have dedicated finance support in place
o support the service centre reporting team by providing cross legal entity analysis of information to identify specific issues and trends
o produce KPI’s for corporate and standardized reporting for the Business Units as necessary
• Budgeting and Forecasting
o assist corporate with the budget co-ordination for the European region
o manage the finance G&A budgeting process for Europe
o support the P&P and Legal department heads in their regional budgeting process
o act as the service centre contact for corporate as changes to the budgeting and forecasting processes are implemented for the corporation
• Information Systems
o become expert users in the key reporting systems that are used by the service centres (SAP, BW, policy IQ)
o provide training and support for these systems to service centre staff as required
o work with other teams in the service centre to develop new reports which can enhance the efficiency or the quality of the reporting processes
Investigate applications used in other parts of the organization to determine whether they could be applied to benefit the performance of the service
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Essential:
Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
Fluent in English
Highly Computer literate – SAP experience, advanced excel knowledge
Excellent interpersonal skills
Highly customer focused
Well organised
Ability to work under pressure
Analytical skills
Highly numerate
Desirable:
Degree qualified
Knowledge of other European language
Knowledge of BW, MS Access, Lotus Notes databases would be an advantage
Experience of developing systems based reporting
