I-Series Consultant – Poland – Contract - 4-6 Months

Two locations, either Katowice or Wroclaw

My client is currently looking for an I-Series Consultant to join a new project in Katowice/Wroclaw (depending on your current location). During this position you will be providing business as usual tasks in the below fields. You will also be required to train other colleagues and take on project focused responsibilities.

This is an initial 4-6 Month contract position with a chance of extension/permanent on another project thereafter.

Job description:
• iSeries Server Administration
• Troubleshooting
• Knowledge in Change management ,Incident and Problem management
• In-depth knowledge of Replication software’s (MIMIX & OMS/ODS)
• HMC configuration and build
• Capacity Planning
• Knowledge of iSeries SAN concepts

Job requirements:
• Skills & other knowledge
• knowledge in administration of iSeries Servers
• IBM System I certification
• knowledge in server virtualization
• knowledge of security and user management on operating-system-level
• knowledge of VIOS
• Scripting Skills in CL and RPG
• knowledge in network environment
• OS installation , Upgrade and ,SLIP installs , Recovery Knowledge
• Knowledge in configuration of middleware products (JBoss, Websphere...)
• knowledge of incident-, problem, change process handling
