IT Wintel Intern

Essential Functions:

As an intern in the IT department you will be responsible for supporting GE Appliances & Lighting IT systems used for pro-active monitoring and identity management. You will be a member of a global team, with members across the globe who support EMEA, ASPAC and AMER poles. This role will present you with an opportunity to actively participate in global business re-organization project.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with multicultural, global teams
• Critical Path: Working on improvements of Perl scripts and filters
• Sarbanes-Oxley: Working on audit process automation
• MS System Center Operations Manager: Document Active Directory knowledge base – to be utilized in AD RTS

Requirements:

• Average knowledge of Microsoft Windows server operating systems (2008 and 2003)
• Strong experience in Perl programming language
• Fluent English
• Goal oriented person, must be able to work independently with limited guidance
