Temat: Inżynier wymagań to Kopciuszek?
Czasem czuję sie jak obrońca Kopciuszków, popierając RE w wielkim świecie BA. Jak to jest? Oto kawałki mojego zgłoszenia propozycji referatu na konferencję BA:"Business Analysis and Requirements Engineering are kind of - what shall I say? - sister disciplines, where you (BA) are often the beautiful and glamorous sister, adored by PM, PMI, VIP:s and bosses, while we (RE) act sometimes as the IT Cinderella: necessary, but hardly glamorous.
However, if we, the ugly sister, do not discover those "other" (i.e. not DIRECTLY business-related) requirements, projects may fail in spite of good BPML diagrams . Therefore, even if we are sometimes tempted to act as rivals, we should better support each other! RE can win glamour and CEO acceptance if we are seen together with BA, while BA can win better chances of project success, when RE covers your back with non-business requirements - isn't it so?
BA and RE are not just two different names for the same thing, but two different, though complementary (and chronically mixed up) activities, equally important for project success. Whether you choose to see BA as the shining, cutting edge of a much broader area called RE, or whether you see them as separate sets, you cannot deny you need both."
