hmm,
jesli bedizesz tam chcial jechac z Chengdu to wiedz ze polnocne mosty sa zniszczone(maja byc naprawione w drugiej polowie sierpnia), aczkolwiek nie wiem czy trasa nie biegnie przez Kangding, wiec bedziesz sie musial najpierw wydostac z Chengdu inna trasa. W Dege nie bylem wiec nie moge pisac czy warto, ale uwazam ze 3 dni to moze byc czas na dojazd w jedna strone. Alternatywa jest Litang. Dojazd do Kangding busem, pozniej trzeba wziasc minibusa (770RMB/7osob cena z lipca 2009), ktory jedzie caly dzien. W Litang stacjonuje wojsko ale nic sobie nie robia z bialasow,

so getting to litang is pretty easy actually - to get here from chengdu we got to kanding, and from kanding if you ask at the bus station they will say there is no bus to litang. what you need to do, in kanding or wherever you are, is just fix a private mini-van ride instead and they will take you to litang no problem. if you come from kanding, the drivers will tell you it takes 6 hours but actually in the slow mini-van it took us 13 hours! so be prepared, and maybe take a jeep instead that will be much faster. from kanding to litang we arranged a minivan for 7 people that was 770 yuan total.

about litang - its no problem to be in here for tourists, there is a lot of police and army but nobody cares about the tourists in here - and there tourists visiting the city.
when you come to litang you can stay in the potala inn, which is nice because it has a little cafe, but is a little expensive.
you can also go instead to the crane guesthouse which is okay and is 20 yuan a night.
