Hi Everyone!

The first Toastmasters International meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 7th in Gdansk, at Kartuska Str 5, II floor at 6.30pm-8.30pm.

Everyone who wants to:
- become comfortable making public speeches,
- speak English on regular basis,
- develop leadership skills: communication, organizational and other,
- meet new people,
is welcome to come and see what other possibilities Toastmasters has to offer. No fee for guests.

Meeting Overview
It was the first real Toastmasters meeting in Tri-City and it was a huge success. There were 17 attendees at the meeting! We had two speakers and 7 persons participated in the Table Topics session. Monika Krolak, the Toastmasters International District 59 Division C (Northern Germany and Poland) Governor was our special guest and the General Evaluator of the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, each participant summed it up. Everybody said that they liked the meeting which was better than they expected and that they would like to participate in the future.
Everyone got a task of bringing at least one guest to the next meeting (October 21).

Club Organisation
Our club needs someone to step up as a Treasurer. It was agreed that everyone would consider becoming the Club Treasurer. We would review bank offers and possibly open a joint bank account for the club. The club Treasurer will be elected at the next meeting. If you need further information about this position, please contact Jerzy Gzula, an experienced member of Toastmasters who has been helping us as our Clubs Sponsor and Mentor.

Spreading the Word/Networking
At Google Groups the Tri-City Toastmasters group for our club was created. Members of the group are our club’s mailing list. Sending messages to the group is the most convenient and effective way to communicate with everyone interested in starting a Toastmasters club in our area. The documents concerning the club and information archive are also located there. Please join the group if you are not a member of it yet.
In order to stay current about the Toastmasters movement development both in Poland and in Europe, we also encourage you to join TOASTMASTERS –the largest Toastmasters group on GoldenLine.

Our meeting was exactly like that and so is the Toastmasters experience!
