Temat: How do YOU manage STRESS?
Coming home - hot and cold shower, one by one, for a few minutes. Usually washes all the tensions down. New tip (from M. Krajewski' books): to repeat slowly a classical poem (just in your mind), like "exegi monumentum aere perennius" or "Litwo, Ojczyzno moja"...Plus lots of humour, distance, "pause button" in all tensed situations...Besides that, stress brings a lot of energy. that's also a kinda pleasure (attention: possibility of dependence ;)

wellMy way is too keep distance (like Mateusz) and ... playing the guitar :)
Some painter said once, that painting is great for stress, becouse out brain switches at this time to our other side of brain and you are starting to think only about paint ;) - I think this is working like playing the guitar in my case.

Same thing with me - however I chosen the MTB marathons. This also gives you relief. And workout on bike allows you burning the adrenaline gathered during long stressful day...
And of course - family and kids, however this is so obvious.

Before we can manage our stress we need to identify it's source. We should notice our distress. Don’t ignore. We should think about this aspects of our life which are having the most impact in increasing the stress. Than, try to recognize what we can change and try to reduce the intensity of our emotional and physical reactions to stress, for instance:
- try to see the stress as something you can cope with rather than something that overpowers you,
- maybe it’s good to change our way of thinking,
- go for a walk, …

One more thing ... one of my personal faves ...Laugh. It releases endorphins - nice drugs produced by the brain:) If you can somehow turn what's stressful into something amusing, you just killed the stress.

I think that laughter is one of the best medicine ;-)) It can increases relieve pain, increase personal satisfaction, improve our immune system (of course this are long-term effects)…...
And as you wrote we should try to turn what's stressful into something amusing - change the perception, try to keep distance, laugh.
