This is your opportunity to get hands-on experience of our new 2015 computer-based assessment. Take the practice exams and familiarise yourself with the functionality.

CIMA's move away from paper-based examinations reflects the wider use of technology in education and in the workplace. We’re the first global accountancy body to do this. We’re proud to be leading the way.

The new integrated case study exams are an innovation that combines technology with simulated business scenarios to assess your skills and competence in real-time. The on-demand objective test exams will also offer you greater flexibility.

About the practice exams

The practice exams will:

Give you the opportunity to try the new examination format and to understand the changes
Make you aware of the structure and content of the live exam
Show you how questions are balanced in terms of type, length and difficulty
Help you to become familiar with layout, navigation and the new live exam features

The practice exam will not:

Clearly indicate your performance in the real objective tests (OT)
Reflect the full functionality of the real OT exams. Functions omitted are:

On-screen calculator
Scratch pad for making notes
Shuffling the position of questions and, within them, the answer options and distractors

How were the exams developed?

The new examinations were produced by CIMA’s faculty - from the same team who has written past exams. They were supported by Pearson VUE and CIMA’s examinations team. Their joint efforts have ensured that the new exams are technically sound, rigorous and fair.
