The sole purpose of this forum is to provide an English speaking 'space' on Goldenline for people to discuss, well, more or less anything they feel like discussing.

I feel that the 'do you speak English forum' is being drowned with requests for 'korepeticia', free translation, and posts in Polish, and believe a closed forum would limit such posts.

All members are welcome to invite others onto the forum, so please do so.

The forum needs to attract a critical mass of members to be successful.

Just a space on Goldenline for people to use English naturally, without having to shout 'ENGLISH PLEASE !!!'

I believe one of the rules of the group should be not to point out the linguistic errors of others, unless specifically requested to do so.

Won't write much this time as I am just in the process of finding out how things on this Goldenwasname work - spent (wasted?) all day yesterday glued to the screen, looking for groups I could join.
Those with limited access look most tempting - must be some inner overwhelming desire to be a member of the elite. What a snob I am!

Incidentally, any comment on that "rugby is a sissy sport"?

I'd say American football is a cissy sport. Rugby players do much the same thing as American footballers but without the protective clothing, helmets and so on.
