With no new albums from Sigur Ros or Radiohead this year sucks completely ;)

But srsly, here are my 2009 absolute favourites in alphabetical order (couldn't make up my mind and put them in any rank):

about Editors - sorry Aleksandra but the album sucks ;-)
nothing new, i felt Tom Smith is trying too hard to sound like the new Nick Cave - maybe it was unintentional but the way he sings on this album doesn't suit me at all.
plus the songs are really nothing special except for Papillon and You don't know love.

"Papillon" - this is how New Order would sound like if Ian Curtis suddenly resurrected and found out that his Joy Division bandmates had started a new group :)

Too late to put Editors' new album among my favourites (been listening to it since just 2 days), but it really kicks, IT KICKS LIKE A SLEEP TWITCH! ;)
