WHAT: UrbanGlass offers three Visiting Artist Fellowships to national and international artists wishing to work in glass. Two fellowships are offered to Emerging Artists and one fellowship to an Established Artist.

Women's Studio Workshop - Artist's Book Residency
WHO: women artists of any nationality wanting to produce limited edition book work.
WHAT: residency grants designed to enable artists to produce limited edition book work at Women's Studio Workshop. Working intensively in the studios for six to eight weeks, artists print and bind their own books. WSW technical assistance includes training on new equipment, introduction to new materials, and assistance with production. Projects are chosen by a jury of outside artists and cuators.

Women's Studio Workshop - Ceramics Fellowship
WHO: potters or ceramists of any nationality.
WHAT: the Women's Studio Workshop offers a limited number of special fellowships to potters who make bowls for the annual WSW Chili Bowl Fiesta. At Chili Bowl Fiesta, a local fund-raising events, community members choose from over 800 handmade bowls and tumblers filled with piping hot chilli or drink. The length of this fellowship opportunity can vary from three to six weeks. Fellowships are awarded through a jury process.
DETAILS: cost to recipient includes 200USD per week plus materials. Potters who will make fund-raising bowls will receive a 50% discount off the fellowship fee i.e 50 glazed bowls or 100 bisque bowls plus 200USD will cover a two-week residency. The award includes on-site housing and unlimited access to the studio.

Shigaraki Artist in Residence Program
WHO: those who have a wealth of experience and knowledge in ceramic art. Preference will be given to applicants more than 30.
WHAT: the Institute of Ceramic Studies provides a site for creative work to ceramic artists. Set in lush natural surroundings, Shigaraki is a town full of ceramic art and industry. The Institute of Ceramic Studies is a modern, well-equipped centre for work, study and experimentation. The artist is encouraged to take the initiative in making the most of the town's environment and the setting for creativity.
WHEN: periods of stay may be of any length between one and three months between 1Nov, 2008 and 28 March, 2009

Delhi Blue Pottery Trust
WHO: potters of any nationality who speak English or Hindi.
WHAT: the Delhi Blue Pottery Trust was founded with the aim of promoting and propagating studio ceramics. Since its inception, Delhi Blue Pottery Trust has been instrumental in changing the face of studio ceramics in India through its multifarious activities, constantly endeavouring to connect ceramists all over the world. The trust offers self funded, funded and special residencies. Visiting potters can self fund their stay and work towards a body of work for 4-8 weeks, which would culminate in an open house exhibition. Funded visiting potters are hosted for 6-8 weeks (boarding and lodging) by the trust but they pay their own travel expense. They conduct one workshop of 7 days or two workshops of 4 days each, during this time. The residency would culminate in an open house exhibition. Special residencies for potters wishing to work with traditional potters or relating to any other specifics, may email their requests to the trust. There is a minimum booking time of 6 months in advance.

Khmer Ceramics Studio - Residencies
WHO: ceramic artists of any nationality.
WHAT: Khmer Ceramics Studio (KCS) is a ceramic art centre located in Siem Reap, Cambodia, five kilometres south of the most famous Khmer temple, Angkor Wat. The mission of the studio is to promote the formal, aesthetic and technical development of ceramics, to help foster creative skills and to offer to resident artists opportunities to understand the unique Khmer artistic heritage. The studio is open to all challenges of ceramic research, design and experiment. With this in mind the KCS offers facilities and kilns, studio space and technical support. ZKM Summer Fellowships 2009
WHO: curators.
WHAT: scholarships are meant to facilitate participation in an international seminar to be directed by Hans Belting and guests. Seminar participants will analyze the situation of art museums, the art market, and art criticism under the spell of globalization. The seminar objective is to bring together a global group of art experts who work in art institutions or other areas of contemporary art. It provides opportunity for knowledge sharing and cooperation with the project GAM at ZKM in order to create a network among the participants.

WHO: installation / site-specific artists.
WHAT: an artist-run centre with a mandate to promote installation and site-specific practices. The residency program is an opportunity offered to the artist to place into question the nature of artistic practice itself with regards to both its conception and public reception and is particularly interested in works which, like works-in-progress, consider time as a medium. During their residency, the selected artists are invited to create a unique, ephemeral work, in the context of an actual live laboratory.
