Witam,

Mam postawiony w pracy testowo VMware Server na ktorym chodza sobie virtualki. Ostatnio zwrocilem uwage, ze dzieje sie bardzo brzydka rzecz a mianowicie na swierzo postawionej virtualce ktora podziala sobie iles tam, nagle sie wylacza - natychmiastowo.
Pozniej jak chce podnies ta virtualke owszem podnosi sie ladnie i jak jest ekran logowania to tez jest wszystko wporzadeczku. Jednak jak sie zaloguje do systemu to po ok. 10s virtualka sie natychmiast wylacza.
W czym moze byc problem? Wczesniej tego problemu nie bylo przez kilka miesiecy wszystko dzialalo porzednie.

To by byla pierwsza rzecz jaka bym zrobil :) ale problem w tym, ze jak zaloguje sie do jakiejs maszyny virtualnej to po max 10s wylacza mi virtualke.
W trybie awaryjnym to samo, a logi vmware nie pokazuja zadnych bledow.
Dzis postawilem hosta od nowa na nim VMware server zobaczymy co bedzie dalej :)

Czy jest możliwość aby po postawieniu maszyny w VMWARE podłączyć się do nie za pomocą RD czy też podobnego narzędzia (vide DameWare itp.?)
Czy wtedy również zaliczy shutdown?

Aha, i jeszcze banał, ale zawsze można spróbować- podczas logowania i ładowania, trzymać shift wciśnięty.

Zeby bylo jeszcze ciekawiej mam virtualki, ktore robilem kilka miesiecy temu i ich problem nie dotyczy. Problem dotyczy tylko nowych virtualek.
Zrobilem upgrade firmware'u servera nie pomoglo. Postawilem virtualke bez VM toolsow i jak na razie dziala :)
Czyli sukces polowiczny bo bez vmtoolsow nie mam 100Mbi sieci, akceleracji grafiki etc.
Dziwi mnie tylko fakt, ze na tych starych virtualkach z vmtoolsami wszystko jest w porzadku a na nowych dzieja sie takie rzeczy.
Jak lacze sie po rdp do virtualki to tez wywala ja.
Jak do konca dnia nie wywali mi virtualki bez vmtoolsow to znaczy, ze problem jest zwiazany z vmtoolsami.

Starsze virtualki z Windows 2003 oraz nowe z Linuksem dzialaja bezproblemowo.

Generalnie spodziewalem sie odpowiedzi SBS 2003.
Tam wystepuje problem w postaci wykorzystania sbs w sposob nie przewidzany dla jego funkcji, czyli jak nie postawisz na nim kontrolera domeny, to sie dziad restartuje co jakies 10 minut (znalazlem na to sposob, wiec jak ktos ma z tym problem to zapraszam na priv)

Jesli chodzi o windowsy... jedyne co mi przychodzi do glowy to blaster (o ile pamietam), ktory uruchamia rpc i daje Ci 60 sekund na zapisanie wszystkiego po czym zamyka system.

Majkrosoft wypuscil poprawki do tego, ale jak nie chce ci sie tego sciagac, to wystarczy, ze w cmd wpiszesz shutdown -a
okienko znika a procedura zamykania systemu zostaje wstrzymana.

nic wiecej nie przychodzi mi do glowy, musialbym sie tam bardziej porozgladac...

Nie, nie to napewno nie jest wina jakiegos wirusa.
Najgorsze jest to, ze to nie jest tradycyjne shutdown windowsa tylko natychmiastowy power off.
Wyglada to tak:
1. Podpinam nowa czysta virtualke np. z Windows Server 2003
2. Dziala sobie ona z vm toolsami lub bez tak ok. 5h
3. Nastepnie natychmiastowy pad.
4. Jak chce ja podniesc, ladnie wstaje i pojawia sie ekran logowania.
5. Wpisuje login, password nie ma nawet 10s i mnie wywala do consoli vmware server.
6. Jedyne co moge zrobic to poogladac log taki jak juz zamieszczalem w tym temacie :)

Nie latalem nic.
Sprawa jest dla mnie co najmniej zagadkowa :)
Postawilem nowego hosta na nim Windows Server 2003 EE a na nim VMware Server 1.0.4.
Podpinam stare virtualki - wszystko ladnie dziala.
Podpinam nowa virtualke - podziala sobie kilka a czasami i kilkanascie godzin i nastepnie siada. Jak ja podnosze to nie zaloguje sie na dluzej do OS goscia jak na 10s i power off :(
Bios servera to Phoenix i bynajmniej ja nie moglem sie doszukac w biosie virtualki wylaczenia acpi. Jedynie co moge zrobic z zarzadzaniem energia to albo wylaczyc albo ustawic wlasne parametry albo wybrac jeden z 2 profili - nic wiecej.
Ale stare virtualki dzialaja na takich samych ustawieniach biosu jak i nowe (padajace).

Ja też mam podobny problem na ESX server. Mam postawionych 5 wirtualek z systemami Windows server 2003, XP i Windows 2000.
Czasami jest tak, że pochodzą kilka godzin, czasami kilkanaście a potem shutdown. Po uruchomieniu wszystko wstaje, po zalaogowaniu mam informacje aby podać przyczyne nieoczekiwanego zamknięcia systemu. Sam ESX server w tym czasie działa.
