Embedded Linux Developer

Embedded Linux Developer

As Linux Developer you will be responsible more specifically to:

- Support the Integration/Verification of the the Third Party Supplier deliverables in all OS domains like Boot Loader, Linux Kernel, Linux User Space, …

- Take part in the Development of the OS specifics like Wifi, USB drivers, NAND Flash drivers…



More generally as Software Developer within the Software Platform team you will be responsible to:

- Implement, test and mature the code on component or integration level

- review designs and specifications in accordance with the functional specifications

- work conform procedures and processes, compliant with the Capability Maturity Model

- operate in a project driven organization and respond to directions from your Team Leader

- timely reach the milestones whilst guaranteeing the quality of the software

- ensure that there is proper documentation for the developed software

- keep abreast of technical developments in own field through study of the literature and technical contacts

- organise independently reviews of your code with colleagues

- work closely together with colleagues from other disciplines and third-party software suppliers.

- Active contribution in resolving problems.

- Give support in analysis and resolution of problems



Profile

- you are an Industrial or Civil Engineer or Master in Informatics or have a specialisation in Computer Sciences

- you have minimum 2 years experience in an embedded software environment

- experience with third party software suppliers is considered an asset

- you have experience in working with other disciplines like electronics and mechanics

- you are communicative and result driven

- you are quality minded both on a product and process level

- you have a good level of English.
