Job Summary
Cogniance is looking to hire a Graphic Designer to support our global Marketing team and their efforts. Beautiful, modern design principles must inspire this individual, and they must possess a strong ability to uphold the Cogniance brand across the entire spectrum of our creative. In this job, they will be tasked with turning business requirements and selling propositions into compelling stories, told through graphics and design. They must have the ability to create a broad set of marketing assets (from print to digital) including website designs, decks, swag, e-books, brochures, event material, and a whole lot more.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
Degree in Graphic Design or related field
4-6 years in a creative role
Strong sense of brand management and branding
Ability to work with a distributed, global Marketing team and vendors around the world
Wizardry in Adobe Creative Suite, including: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
3D rendering programs proficiency a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Powerpoint, Word & Excel. But especially Powerpoint.
Strong English verbal, written and presentation skills
Organized and efficient, paying close attention to details while handling multiple tasks
Sense of urgency and ability to handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A positive outlook & attitude with a sense of humor is a plus
Your portfolio speaks for itself in its strength and diversity
Essential Functions/Job Duties
Create effective, compelling visual designs for marketing materials, presentations, tradeshows, print, websites, and other design initiatives that support our marketing efforts
Ability to manage and direct projects from concept to completion in a timely manner and apply best practices in layout, color theory, composition, typography, and graphic design
Thorough understanding of print media, digital media, presentation tools, interactive communications, and image optimization as well as industry best practices
HTML / CSS experience
Create pretty things that people care about: We value style as much as substance. Creating a compelling ebook or infographic doesn't just require great content, it requires great visual communication
Carry the brand flag: Apple isn't the only perfectionist. We want every color, leading, and pixel to be correct. That's where you come in, we need you to uphold the brand standard to create a cohesive, delightful experience across all of our graphic design assets. Also provide the tools (style guides, templates, etc.) needed to ensure branding consistency, alignment and compliance by Cogniance employees and external partners
Manage, organize, and maintain all Marketing assets: Hundreds of employee's, hundreds of Marketing assets, and dozens of requests a day = a lot of upkeep. As Graphic Designer, you're the gatekeeper of all things Marketing design
Be a leader. This role is new to the company, so we need a strong individual with the confidence to own and drive our creative agenda
This position will report to the VP of Marketing and will be based in Wroclaw, Poland (with no relocation available).
