Performing as GL Accounting Lead for Cisco Capital entities located in Italy and South Africa:
- Supporting business processes related to financing business innovations (finance and operating leases, loans) through implementing global financial policies and effective partnering
- Overall responsibility for completeness and accuracy of the entities’ books, financial statements and tax filings from both US GAAP and local GAAP perspectives
- Reporting on the financial results and position to interested stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of information, analyzing material fluctuations and significant account balances, analyzing lease portfolio; collaboration across teams to ensure accurate end-to-end entity figures
- Preparation, completion and audit of statutory financial statements
- Managing relationships with external service providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of core accounting operations, compliance, execution of local filings and audits; collaboration with the statutory / tax compliance vendors to ensure that local General Ledgers are maintained as required; review and assurance on all areas of the General Ledger

- Building and supervising the team of 7 created to accomodate the processes for the client’s new business in R2R area
- Coordinating the transition of the new scope to Capgemini
- Professional and proactive day to day service, leading the team towards high quality service delivery
- Ensuring KPIs achievement, timeliness of client service in accordance with agreed deadlines (as per SLA) and compliance with company policies, procedures and US GAAP principles
- Cooperation with internal and external auditors, ensuring SOX compliance
- Recruiting and motivating the team, monitoring team performance, training
- Identifying process improvements and opportunities for process standardization

Involvement in performing and verifying General Ledger tasks:
- Balance Sheet Accounts Reconciliation – receivables, payables, inventory, fixed assets, prepaid, accruals, deferred charges, liabilities and other types of accounts
- Intercompany Reconciliation – analysis of balances, reconciliation and clearing of outstanding items, preparing consolidation entries for variances between trading partners within company
- Fixed Assets Accounting and Reconciliation – posting additions, retirements, transfers, processing changes to assets, analysis of variances between SAP and consolidation system, reporting, conducting annual asset reviews, closing sub-ledgers
- Balancing ERP systems between entities – analysis, reconciliation and clearing outstanding items between ERP systems for merged entities
- Capital Project Accounting, Capitalized Interest Accounting
- Rebates Reconciliations and Accounting
- Broker Commissions Calculation
- Journal Entries – calculation and posting of accruals, prepayments, provisions and other JV
- Payroll Accounting – interface verification and correction, benefits accruals
- Verification of account reconciliations, journal vouchers for accuracy, completeness and compliance with company policies, procedures and US GAAP principles
