Senior Transport Coordinator
- Direct impact on logistics costs by managing daily operations in efficient and effective way
- Direct influence on customer satisfaction by optimizing operations and maintaining effective
Communication
- Achieve the agreed delivery commitment to the customer whilst remaining aligned with the cost
reduction goals of the department, where possible supporting the Zone policy, maximizing payloads and
minimizing multi-drop loads
- Ensure an effective information flow is maintained among parties involved (external customers <​-> Mill
Customer Services <​-> Mill Warehouse & Despatch department by providing load schedule and
communicating all key information points in a timely and accurate manner)
- Support other members of Transport Team, to achieve all of the team’s objectives by fostering teamwork
and meet training requirements
- Seek to sustain and improve customer service and transport operations efficiency by continuous
assessment and improvement of work practices.
- Acts as a coach and trainer for less experienced staff
- Provides an overview of load planning and dispatch activities for markets serviced by given sub-
team
- Involving and acts as coach in projects in Transport Department
