Responsible for End to End payroll process for one/several markets/countries in Europe
Reviewing and controlling Payroll
Implementation of law/social/tax changes in liaison with Amsterdam Payroll Shared Service Center as well as GDS (data team) in the US
Process all payroll related payments to employees, Tax Authorities and Social Security Office
Process all payroll related journal entries into the general ledger
Prepare monthly reconciliations of all payroll related General Ledger Accounts
Prepare monthly tax returns for wage taxes
Financial Analysis and planning : able to calculate impacts of law changes in term of social security, benefits, tax wages
Coordinate close activities and payroll actuals analysis
Single point of contact for the business partners (i.e. - HR and Finance)
Mentoring and supporting members of the team

Verifying payroll administration against statutory directives and Company guidelines
Assuring the quality of individual pay calculations by conducting dedicated and random audits on the data amendment process, post-checking and payment of salaries, in accordance with internal audit guidelines.
Contributing towards the quality of the data amendment process by promptly detecting any inconsistencies and anticipating such inconsistencies by suitably advising the local personnel departments.
Recommending improvements to local personnel departments and verification of changes.
Conducting an audit of salary payments.
Monitoring correct operation of payroll software by dedicated and random audits.
Assisting external auditors from BIG FOUR (e.g. PwC, Deloitte)

Managing transfer related processes of Shell Expatriate Staff moving to, from and within the EU/Africa/Americas region.
Coordination and evaluation of relocation process for incoming expatriates including Hotel, transport, settle services, rental car etc.
Manage major transition processes for Personnel, Payroll and Benefits Administration including: compensation calculations, payroll, initiating and coordinating vendor services, checking and signing contractual documents such as contract letters, offer letters, resignation, retirement, etc.
Develop and maintain expert knowledge of expatriate terms and conditions required for the transfer process.
Maintain effective relationship with client organisation representatives including HR advisors
Update information and remuneration in the system SAP and EIC.
Transfer of employee's details, remuneration and promotion in the system.
Generate reports from SAP (list of employee, active cases, completed actions, logging).
Data verification for SOX and financial controls.
