Head of Purchasing and Logistics in the Plastic Packaging Division for Europe
Duties
• Creation of purchasing policy in the Plastic Packaging Division including 5 manufacturing plants in Europe. Coordination of global cooperation with the suppliers in Europe, North and South Americas and Asia.
• Optimize sourcing conditions considering time, quality and costs aspects
• Negotiate and finalize contractual agreements that reflect companies’ requirements in the fields Research, Legal, Finance and Procurement
• Comprehensive management of purchasing processes -selection, evaluation and qualification of suppliers combined with supervision of production planning and logistics departments
• Active co-management of development strategy of the local plants in Europe
• Managing of team 21 employees in Poland Spain and Denmark
• Supporting of R&D departments by new projects
• Sourcing management, SIM (Supplier Information Management)
Key achievements
• During last 4 years generate over 1000k EUR real savings for the company thanks active supplier management policy concluding renegotiation of supplier agreements with key suppliers for raw materials, moreover improvement in payment terms, introduction of bonus agreements
• Project management – last project: comprehensive management of project of building new finish goods warehouse from investment planning through creation of work concept, selection of suppliers and solutions to supervision of construction work.
• Supervision of transfers the production between different production plants located in different countries - last project: transfer the production form Spain to Poland
• New R&D projects: sourcing management, combined with supplier’s approval and supplier evaluation
• Optimization and simplification of procurement process for divisional plants, launching of consignment stocks, introduction of supplier evaluation tools and continues improvement programs
• Creation of consistent company image as reliable and trustworthy partner among suppliers of raw materials, machines and tools, renegotiation of price/payment terms, closing of quality assurance agreements
