Purchasing and cost of sale Executive
The purpose of the job is to ensure that all sales are purchased and chased appropriately, and that strong relationships are built with suppliers. In addition the cost of sale and margins are monitored, recorded and reported to management. The role holder supports the sales team with all order queries to enable business growth and works closely with the managers to provide information regarding all above through reports and presentations.
Responsibilities:
Requesting & Obtaining quotes from Worldwide IBM distributors (Western & Eastern Europe, Asia, North and South America)
Global Ordering of IBM ServicePacs /Service Suite contracts from suppliers
Raising of purchase orders in accounting software
monitoring of cost of sales against sales
Calculation of margins on sales invoices
Creation and presentation of sales and cost of sales reports
Highlighting to managers any issues with sales and cost of sales
Find new suppliers for global offerings
Liaising and building on-going relationships with suppliers
Work with sales team to resolve customers queries
Keeping sales team updated with any outstanding orders
Searching for new distributors
Dealing with high volume of suppliers & transactions
Negotiating discounts & purchase prices
Matching purchase orders to invoices and resolving discrepancies
Dealing with telephone enquiries from suppliers and customers
Chasing/Preparing/checking purchase invoices for payment by finance department
Receiving & resolving telephone enquiries from suppliers concerning the status of unpaid invoices
Assisting with the verification of weekly payment runs.
Direct Sale of Lexmark Warranties in the UK and France over the phone
