HSM Offshore B.V. has contracted Seaway Heavy Lifting Contracting Limited (SHL) for the
transport and installation of the A18 Satellite Platform. The platform will be located in the
Block A18 of the Dutch North Sea, 300 km North of Den Helder.
The ‘Complete facilities’ A18 comprises the satellite platform with 3 wells, space for a 4th well,
no sand and liquid handling, minimum facilities and a pipeline to A12CPP for the tie-in at the
existing process system. The development of the A18 field, including the Facility, shall be
managed and controlled by Chevron Transportation B.V.
The structures will be fabricated at the HSM fabrication yard in Schiedam, Holland. The
jacket, topsides and piles will be loaded out from the quay side onto a cargo barge. After
seafastening of the structures, the barge will be transported to the installation site.
The jacket will be lifted vertically from the barge and secured to the seabed by means of four
72” skirt piles.
The topsides will be stabbed on top of the jacket and secured by means of welding.
SHL will install the platform using the 5000 Mt HLV ‘Oleg Strashnov’.

GDF SUEZ E&P UK Ltd subcontracted transportation and installation works of the Cygnus
field to Seaway Heavy Lifting Contracting Limited (SHL). The Cygnus Field is located in the
Southern gas basin approximately 150km NE of Easington in UK blocks 44/11 and 44/12.
The current field boundary is within license P1055, blocks 44/11a and 4/12a and license
P1731, block 44/11b.
The Cygnus field consists of four platforms, Alpha Wellhead platform, Process Unit platform,
Quarters Unit platform and the Bravo Wellhead platform. Two bridges will be installed in
between the platforms, one bridge in between the Alpha Wellhead platform and the Process
Unit platform and the other bridge in between the Process Unit platform and the Quarters
Unit platform. The subsea installation work consists of two structures, the Wye manifold and
the SSIV.

Field Development to Seaway Heavy Lifting Contracting Limited (SHL).
The structures for the Cygnus Field shall be installed in two separate campaigns.
During Campaign II the HLV Oleg Strashnov will install the PU topsides, PU compression
module (including PU flare), QU topsides, two bridges and the Bravo Wellhead platform and
start these activities in July-August 2015.
