Just a minute ago, some addicted people among us made me remember about an article and research.
It surely about sex again... whatelse I'd like to talk about?

Well, to make things easier for you, article and research says:
new toys are harming our sex lives.

Would you disagree?

(I'm asking to people who already have a sex life)
hehe.
(Ok, I was kidding)
(People without a sex life might give an answer to a different question... like: "Do the new technology, toys and internet effecting your real life in a bad way? Do you feel bad? Do you need help? Sorry, I can not help you. I'm on the other side of the screen)

Ok, me first.

I'm really trying hard not to loose all of my day in internet, surfing unconsciously.
I'm doing it since 1996, and am already -kind of- fed up with this habit.

Everyday, every hour, I'm fighting myself. Lately I am successful.

I think that as long as I don`t go to the toilet with my laptop, as a friend of mine does, everything is OK. When I have to work a lot I`m not online. Ok, I am but it`s only Outlook Express. Well, in fact it`s also one communicator. But unfortunately I always have my mobile on, night and day. But bed is bed. No laptops, no mobiles, no TV.

The terrible effect of new technology on me is primarily the fact that I've become so impatient that reading your article, Ilter, seems endless and I give up.

I think now I have problems to focus on one thing at a time, as there are always a couple of things going on and I'm awfully distracted.

Another survey was released recently by a UK electronics retailer that showed nearly half of British men would happily give up sex for six months in exchange for a free 50-inch plasma TV.

Guys? We have couple of British man in the house... So, whadda ya say?

Not without any reason.

I sometimes jump from one link to another, because I see another thing in one page.
So, instead of reading something and close the browser window, I visit 2 more links, etc.

It can be difficult to get your partner in the mood when he/she is already souped up talking to several people on line all over the world about interesting topics. There should be some time during the week in which the computer is turned off, so that we can turn our partners on.

I'd rather not comment, Violetta ;)

As for addiction - well, I never use the computer in bed, except on very rare occasions when I'm really sick yet have to do the bills, issue invoices or rachunek for my teachers, or deal with a problem.
Unfortunately, a lot of what I do (or rather used to do) involves being online, sometimes 24/7, and I am now cleaning up all the mess for someone else to take over.
I know couples who have split up because of the internet, or rather dating sites, so I can say it's a dangerous thing. You never know if your partner isn't cheating on you in the virtual world as you're asleep in bed!
On the other hand, we have discussed the phenomenon of couples who actually met through dating sites or other.

Well internet is not the only new tech to destroy everyday activities. Though this one is maybe more for boys but video games can also be a nasty habit (http://www.cassovia.sk/hry/nu_pagadi/pagadi.swf )

Until quite recently I used to use my computer as my only source of information on almost anything; I would spend hours visiting BBC sites, all possible English papers, travelling from one link to another. However, I would always switch it off at some reasonable time. Not any longer. GL, and Anglosphere in particular, are so addictive that one can't go to bed until after it's already light outside:) and you never know who and when is going to send something interesting to read. Would hate to miss a post sent by one of you even if you do that at some 'crazy' hour. :)

I post somewhere between 4 and 6 in the morning, being that I am in US. It gets lonely. Sometimes I steal a day during the week to indulge so I can share in conversations. Like today!
